THE HUCK STORY
my name is Joe Schneider
and I’m the founder of HUCK Performance Buckets.
MY BUCKET STORY
I was born and raised on Maryland’s Eastern Shore and graduated from Salisbury University with a degree in Environmental Sciences. As a kid I was always fishing, hunting, building forts and doing what kids did and I always seemed to end up with a five-gallon bucket in hand.
As an adult, my use of these products continued. Whether working or playing my buckets were never too far away. Cleaning boats, catching bait, carrying fish, or even using it as a makeshift seat in a dove field or turkey blind, I always had a task for a bucket.
THE LIGHT BULB MOMENT
One day at my dad’s house in the Keys, I had spent the day catching ballyhoo with a cast net to go mangrove snapper fishing. I was walking down the dock with my bucket full of bait when the bucket handle broke and I lost my bucket and all my bait overboard.
After a few choice words and the realizing I had no bait to fish, I started thinking about all the bucket problems that had plagued me over the years. I have always been one that prefers quality over quantity and was completely frustrated at how cheaply made all versions of this product were.
BUCKET SCIENCE
I gave these issues lots of thought and did tons of research and realized that there was no quality bucket option available on the market. I made a list of every problem I have ever had with a bucket and so began my quest to reinvent and innovate the tool I had grown to love under the assumption others were having the same problems.
This quest, and believe me, it was a quest, led to the HUCK Performance Bucket.
